There’s nothing Google loves more than changing the goalposts.
For once, though, we’re pleased that the search engine is planning to make significant changes to the way its algorithm indexes and ranks web pages – because it’s going to lead to better experiences and more valuable organic listings for everyone.
We’ve known about Google’s Page Experience Update for some time. It’s been in the pipeline since his time last year, and we talked about the three UX signals that are going to have the biggest impact on ranking positions in a previous blog post here. But if you’re only just hearing about the changes that are in store – or you haven’t yet got around to updating your pages so they meet Google’s new Core Web Vitals criteria just yet – time is running out to get your house in order.
